The Power of a Book that will Change your Life

55 Authors Share Their Stories that Could Change your Life

Change your LifeRecently, I have been reading a book that could change your life, co-authored by Jack Canfield and Gay Hendricks. The book is titled “You’ve Got to Read This Book” (click this link for this free ebook). My good friend Marc Linden from The Books that Changed My Life would definitely be excited about this book since he writes about things he learnt from books that he had read.

This book is about 55 people who describe how one book could change your life. Many of the authors are self made successes like Rhonda Byrne, Tim Ferriss, Farrah Gray, Michael Gerber, Jack Canfield, Stephen Covey and Louise Hay. Others are lesser known people who had a story of the power of a book to tell. Like Danny Edward Scott Casalenuovo who went to jail but found the Chicken Soup for the Prisoner’s Soul as a book that change your life.

The main theme was about a transformational time when these authors somehow were led to read one book in their lives. Since then, their lives have changed radically. It was a most inspiring read. What I found most amazing is the discovering the deeper secrets of these authors who shared without a hesitation about the book that could change your life.

Many of these books that could change your life I have never heard of them before. But I am very sure they have appeared on my radar screen for future reading. If these books changed people, I wonder what they could do to us as well.

My Own Book(s) that Could Change your Life

Reading this book that could change your life led me on my on search for the power of a book. I kept asking myself if I had one book that had overwhelming power over me. My search is closer but not there yet. Perhaps that’s why my successes have not come yet. I am still an unfinished product yet to discover the power of a book that could do it for me.

My own book that really radically transformed me is actually not a book. But it has been translated to a book as well. But I have never read it yet. I would like to someday and hope this one can change your life too. It is Earl Nightingale’s classic audio program on Lead the Field.

At the height of my own financial mess, I was reading anything I could on how to improve my finances. One book I read was Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad. In it he described Earl Nightingale’s Lead the Field as something that changed him as well. That started me off on my journey on audio programs. I know how much this new education had impressed me. It could change your life as well.

    • Hi David,

I am a bit like you too, being unable to pin point one book that had that impact. There are quite a few candidates for this. One way to be sure of this is to look at which book you have always gone back to reading over the years.

    • No mention Marc, your site is afterall about books we read. Yes, please read “You have got to read this book”. It is really inspiring plus its free. I was surprised that there was a free ebook copy around when I searched for the link. So that’s good. More people get to experience the uplifting nature of this book.

    • Hi Nancy,

I will be adding this book that changed your life to my reading list as well. I always find it very interesting reading books that are inspiring to others. It is a way to understand and know someone better. Much better than something that is hi and bye.
